Program Note

Stepan's sister is in a coma and his parents seem half-dead themselves. When Stepan comes across an abandoned well he comes to believe that it has the ability to bring living things back from the dead. He gets a dangerous idea that it can also help his sister.

Director

Neal DHAND

Neal Dhand is a writer and director who makes genre films with a social bent. Neal’s 2019 short film The Well premiered in-competition at the 2020 BIFAN and won an Honorable Mention. His screenplays have recently been placed in a variety of prestigious competitions, including American Zoetrope, Austin, and BlueCat. Neal is in development on the sci-fi feature Dark My Light, which was selected for the NAFF It Project Market 2020.
